I feel like you captured so many moments of real genuine feeling between us, and nothing looks staged or fake.  We really did forget you were there.

And thank you for getting so many unbelievable portraits of our friends and family.  You captured their personalities, their relationships -- it's really astounding.  Almost like you were able to see into their inner lives.   A great example of that is the one of Lauren and Ian on the bus, where Ian is leaning against her shoulder.  Getting onto the bus at the end of the night could have been a throwaway moment for another photographer, but you made that into what was probably the most remarkable photograph of the night.

You have a truly unusual insight into portraiture, and it is even more astounding that you are able to do it with so much -- what's the word, empathy?  Compassion?  Everyone seems "real" but the best possible versions of themselves.  And on top of that, your original, inventive and surprising composition and your artistry is apparent in every shot."
